1) Preparation and Prayer

Good morning!

Read the following Psalm as a prayer in preparing your heart for meeting with God.

You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.
You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.

Psalm 119:65–68 (ESV)

2) Announcements

  • No worship services at the hall until it is allowed again and safe to do so.

    • PLEASE do not use this time to self-isolate. Stay safe by avoiding groups of people, but a good idea is to invite someone else to come and do online church with you on a Sunday morning.

  • NEEDING HELP?  If you are struggling emotionally and spiritually and you are needing counseling, please contact Carel-J.
If you have any physical needs, please contact Carel-J or one of the elders.
  • PLAN TO HELP THOSE WHO GET SICK WITH COVID-19. We want to help those who need to self-quarantine due to being sick with COVID-19 or who have been in contact with someone who tested positive. This involves two things:
    a) If you do get sick or need to quarantine, please let us know. Let us know what type of help you need. E.g. help with buying your groceries, deliver meals, etc.
    b) We’ll need volunteers who will be able to help with the above (buying / making and delivering food). If you are able to assist in this way, please let Carel-J know.
  • BADISA FOOD PARCELS – Badisa knows of many vulnerable, poor families who are not able to provide for themselves during these times. They pack and deliver food parcels to these families. You can help by buying and placing non-perishable items in the containers provided at SPAR and OK

    • We received the bad and sad news yesterday evening Desirée has cancer in both lungs. She has a bad cough for a long time now. Yesterday Jessica, her daughter, took her for a sonar and scan which showed the cancer. To-day she going for another sonar for her stomach, hasn’t been feeling well on the stomach. Middle December going on holiday to Vanderkloofdam, where they have a home, she suddenly became very weak and tired, lying down most of the day. Fortunately Jessica went to help and take care of her. They cut their holiday short and went back to CT on the 1st. Jessica helping her mom, says she is very weak and short of breath. Please pray for her and all our family🙏🙏🙏. I am in Oudtshoorn at present and l am back to normal health by God’s Grace, praise Him!!! Leaving for CT on Monday to see her, will be back in Stilbaai on Wednesday God willing. We need a lot of prayer please
